What is Laser Therapy?
Laser Therapy is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries/lesions to stimulate healing within those tissues.
LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) or LPLT (Low Power Level Therapy) as well as Low Energy Laser are the dominant terms frequently used.
Clinical Applications:
- Increasing the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair.
- Smoking Cessation, Food Addiction, Alcohol addiction.
- Pain Relief and management.
- Tendonitis treatment (Frozen Shoulder).
- Wound healing (including ulceration treatment).
- Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis treatments.
- Dermatology, including Acne treatments.
- Podiatry, including Plantar Fascitis treatments.
- Acute back pain.
- Sprains / strains.
The Advantages of Using Laser Are:
- The use of laser saves time. Adult 15 seconds per point, where as in formal acupuncture 1000 seconds are required.
- Sterility is guaranteed.
- Treatment is painless and safe.
- Contra-indications to Laser Treatment
- Pacemaker
- Epilepsy
- Any potentially malignant tumors and skin changes in the area to be treated.
- Pregnant women should only be treated after careful consideration.
- Thyroid conditions; treating the neck area should be avoided.
- Areas under which silicone has been injected should be exempted from treatment.
Healing is rarely an act of harnessing inner energy and light, but is always a release and expression of this inner power. The person who is ill, is actually the healer.

In February I was awarded the distinction of a Fellow Member of the Homeobotanical Institute, qualifying as a Homeobotanical Practitioner (Herbal). This means I will be able to help you with problems other than bodywork, shiatsu, deep tissue. For example, hot flushes, prostrate problems, de-tox, migraines are just a few areas where Homeobotanicals are useful.
